Burger Perfection
Much has been written about the Meat Wagon, so I was very pleased when The Ship, Wandsworth tweeted that Yianni would be visiting on the 7th November. The Ship is about a 10 minute bus ride from my home, so what better excuse for a first visit?

London foodblog sphere is positively overloaded with burger posts, and I do not wish to overly add to the interweb burger flotsam, sufficient to say that Yianni’s burgers are the bees’ knees or the kippers’ knickers. In fact they are pretty darned amazing, it was possibly the best burger I have ever had. Evidently Yianni’s customers agree as he sold out within a record breaking 37 minutes this evening.

Yianni - The Burger Master
Yianni has carefully thought about every stage of the burger process, lightly toasted sourdough bun, with the perfect amount of mustard and tomato sauce, perfectly seasoned & cooked burger, pink in the centre and charred on the outside. Delicious bacon patty, cheese, and a token sprinkling of salad. Perfection for £6 and a jolly perfect birthday dinner! Word has it that the meat wagon will be returning to The Ship in the future and hopefully I will be near the front of the queue.

Is it wrong that the burger is making me drool and it’s not even 9am?
Wow, I wish he’d come over to E17!! Fat chance, I imagine…
