A very quick post to tell you about Let Them Eat Cake – an exhibition of royal wedding cakes, held at the Wellington Arch (Hyde Park Corner) for the next 4 days (22 – 25 April 2011).

If you are in London this weekend do pop along to Hyde Park Corner and the Let Them Eat Cake Exhibition.

Included in the exhibition is a remake of the original wedding cake of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth (The Queen Mother) which used 20kg of sugar, made by Julie Walsh.

A replica of a tier of Victoria & Albert’s wedding cake, made by Dawn Gemmell.

And fantastic views of London. I have lived in London for 15 years and have never got round to going to the Wellington Arch before. Well worth a visit.
Let Them Eat Cake – sponsored by Tate & Lyle runs from the 22 – 25 April 2011, 10am – 5pm at the Wellington Arch at the centre of Hyde Park Corner. Entrance is free (usual price £3.90). Nearest Tube Hyde Park Corner, exit 2.

if only I lived in london I would be there like a shot
I do hope that you will make the trip sometime in the next few years, it would be lovely to meet you.
