A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to attend the Squires show at Farnham Maltings. For those who do not know, Squires is synonymous with baking, decorating and sugarcraft. As well as their shop in Farnham, the range is available online and they run courses from their school in Farnham. The attitude is very much one of “can do” and the company believes that “anyone can make and decorate a cake, create beautiful sugar flowers and elegant chocolates just like a professional.”
The yearly show is a showcase of the best of baking and decoration, a glorious festival of skills and excellence, both professional and amateur. The show was packed and people had travelled from all over the world to attend and to take classes.
I took far too many photos for one post and will be publishing a series of posts about the show.
