Glaze a couple of chicken breasts either diced or whole with sweet and tangy sauce and for outdoors place them on a bbq till they cook through or form into kebabs. squirt with a little oil and lemon juice if they cook too quickly on the outside,( make kebabs by ) dicing the chicken and putting on skewers ( if wooden skewers soak in water first to stop them burning) with raw peppers and onion and pineapple chunks and cook on the hot bbq or under a hot grill, rotating till cooked. serve with lashings of salad with dressings like honey mustard dressing with Dijon or Caesar salad with parmesan, coleslaw, pitta bread or nann bread
Great Comp.!
Fab!
Here goes I usualy make it up as I cook and end up with a different tasting meal each time.
Get a pound of ground beef put in bowl with an egg, pinch of salt and pepper and put in a teaspoon of Honey Mustard with Dijon Dressing for extra flavour, mix together. Divide the mix into about 6 balls depending on how big you want your burgers. pat flat with your hands. burgers can now be cooked on the bbq or in a frying pan. before putting the burgers onto the bbq you can use a paint brush to coat the wire rack with the Classic BBQ Sauce as when this heats up it will infuse the burger with extra flavour. When the burgers are cooked you can put them in a toasted bun with salad and top off with either, Sweet & Tangy BBQ Sauce, Classic BBQ Sauce Jalapeño Tomato Relish or Sweet Onion Relish depending on personnal taste.
The Caesar with Parmesan Dressing can be used as dressing to make a side dish of salad to go with the burgers. To add extra crisp and crunch to the salad add sliced celery and radish to the usual, lettece, cucumber, tomato, spring onion and what every else you like. alternativly Blue Cheese Dressing can be used instead.
Glazed Pork on a bed of Mediterranean Vegetables served with Spiced Potato Wedges, Dips & Salad.
Slice & Dice Tomatoes, Courgette, Aubergine, Mixed Peppers & Red Onion, place into a tin foil pouch, add tomato juice, herbs, salt, pepper & a tbsp of French’s Jalopeno Tomato Relish, cook on the BBQ until vegetables soften.
Chop Potatoes and Sweet Potatoes to give wedges, fry then toss with Chilli & Spice Mix and griddle on the BBQ to finish the flavour.
Part-cook the Pork Chop in the oven and then BBQ to finish, applying French’s Sweet & Tangy BBQ sauce regularly, almost as a baste, until pork is cooked through.
Serve in a bowl with the Mediterranean Vegetables as a bed, lay the Glazed Pork on top and apply a final layer of Sweet & Tangy BBQ sauce. Serve Potato Wedges with Jalopeno Tomato Relish & Sweet Onion Relish and Mixed Salad.
If it rains, cook the Pork & Vegetables in the Oven, Potatoes wedges on the hob and finish off with a shallow griddle pan on the hob.
Let me win this please!
Homemade Japapeno Tomato burgers: 1lb beef mince, 1 onion finely chopped, 1 red pepper finely chopped, 2 tbsp of Jalapeño Tomato Relish. Mix all together. Mould them into burgers. Put in fridge until your ready to cook as usual. Serve with poppyseed cobs, Mesclan salad (endive, rocket, sorrel and cos lettuce torn mixed with sliced onion simply dressed with oil and lemon. plates of crudite and accompanying dips (Sweet Onion Relish, Blue Cheese Dressing) Treat the kids to some homemade oven chips (leave the peel on!) This is a lazy hazy days meet with friends.
Smoother chicken breasts in FRANKS BBQ SAUCE and pop on the BBQ. In the meantime mix shredded Romaine lettuce with cucumber slices, 1/4 cherry tomatoes and pomegranate pips. Stir in a large dollop of FRENCH’s HONEY MUSTARD with DIJON DRESSING. Once cooked slice the chicken and place on top of the salad. Invite friends and party!
I’d use the Jalapeño Tomato Relish mixed with some coriander, lime juice and paprika as a marinade for chicken breasts, these could then be either grilled or bbq’d and served in flour tortillas or a soft white bap. The Honey Mustard with Dijon Dressing could be used on potatoes as a side dish, serve either warm or cold.
Mine is very simple! Croque monsier: ham, french cheese, BBQ sauce on french stick yummy…this can be BBQ or grilled if raining!
my recipe is a simple one – pasta salad, cook the pasta, add 1 tin of sweetcorn, 1 tin of chickpeas, 1 tin of baby carrots, 1x tin of petit pois. Mix Mayo with some single cream and add a generous dollop of Jalapeno Tomato Relish to give it a bit of a kick. Pour over the salad and let rest in the fridge for 2 hours to allow the pasta to soak up the sauce. Enjoy
Pop some pork chops (with fat removed), red onions, tinned tomatoes and some of the Classic BBQ sauce into a slow cooker and allow to cook until the meet is crumbling.
Serve the chops with a salad tossed in the Honey and Mustard dressing and some buttery potatoes YUM!
