I got the sewing machine out for some other projects yesterday and finally, finally got round to sewing ribbon loops onto all my teatowels to hang them by. No more excuses for leaving them scrunched up the worktop. Time taken? About 30 seconds per tea towel.

Such a great idea, I rather laboriously started sewing tags on by hand a few years ago, and quickly gave up! Why didn’t I think about using my sewing machine?
I think it is one of those jobs which is only worth doing if you have the machine out anyway. I wish I had the space to have a sewing table that my machine could live on.
I saw hand towels with loops on them in Sweden last week and I was like “d’oh – why doesn’t EVERYBODY do that?” ;o)
Some of my towels came with loops sewn into them. So sensible, but if you have a machine it is a very quick fix!
Such a great idea! I have a few that came without loops, will grab some ribbon and get sewing!
