Sponsored Video: method cleaning products

The division of labour in the flat is that I do most of the cooking, and E does more of the cleaning. He’s no Stepford wife (husband?), but we do prefer things to be reasonably clean and tidy – although it has to be admitted that getting him to this stage has required a little bit of reeducation and a dash of peer pressure; his ability to hurl himself down the slippery slope to slovenliness if left to his own devices (which might well not include the vacuum cleaner) is something that has to be considered.

Anyway, we’re both very keen on a minimal use of chemicals in the household products we use and so I was interested to hear about a range of cleaning products from method, ranging from the usual household /laundry/cleaners to more specialised things such as leather, wood, stainless and marble/granite cleaners. The one thing missing from the line up at the moment is a dishwasher tablet/liquid (although there is a washing up liquid). I also particularly like the clothes washing liquid, which is highly concentrated so that it’s not necessary to carry large jugs of liquid home from the supermarket, and the integral pump neatly measures the dose. And just so you don’t have to keep buying the bottles with the pump, refill pouches are available.

method has excellent green credentials, with zero animal testing, products that are blended cold (rather than hot, as other cleaners may be), using rail for distribution, locating offices near public transport and sourcing ingredients locally.

I have to admit that I’m not quite sure what cleaning like a mother actually is, but I’m amused by method’s video, showing their household spray cleaner.

This post has been sponsored by method, but all thoughts are our own.
