I am a huge fan of OXO Good Grips (not to be confused with cubes). I think their products are both useful and mindfully designed.
They recently sent me and my mother some useful bits and bobs to try out.
OXO Good Grips Soft Handled Can Opener Review
My mother who has arthritis in her hands loved this. Soft handles meant easy to grip. Large well-ratcheted knob was easy to turn and a nifty magnet lifted the lid of the can away. It is quite bulky for a can opener so does take up a fair amount of drawer space.
OXO Good Grips Swivel Peeler Review
Again my mother really liked this. The razor sharp blade easily sliced through the toughest vegetables and the soft handle was comfortable for her to grip.
OXO Good Grips Electronics Cleaning Brush Review
A dual tool of a soft brush and silicon wiper. The brush is very soft, so perfect for cameras but not so efficient for getting dust out of the nooks and crannies of my laptop. It is however the perfect tool for food styling, the brush is perfect for whisking away crumbs and the wiper for cleaning smears off plates. The brush is retractable which protects it, and there is a cap for the wiper blade. It now lives in my camera bag and is my new favourite gadget.
OXO Good Grips Deep Clean Brush Set Review
Two small angled brushes, perfect for scrubbing plugholes, overflows and around taps. One is now secured to the bottle of limescale remover. Love them.
OXO Good Grips Dust Pan & Brush Review
I really like the “whisk” brush on this. Easier to hold and more efficient for sweeping. My old dustpan and brush were consigned to the bin.
OXO Good Grips Jar Opener Review
This was the least successful of the bunch. Both my parents found it really quite difficult to use, finding it tricky to juggle the opener and hold the jar. My father thought it needed a strap to secure round the lid or similar.
Many thanks to OXO Good Grips for the samples.
