I have one simple philosophy for healthy eating
Forget diets and eat a generous portion of (raw) vegetables with every meal whenever you can.
It ticks all my Fuss Free boxes – simple, easy to follow, easy to remember and easy to succeed with. Now I am in the habit nearly all my meals contain more vegetables than they used to. Grate a carrot into your muesli or whip up a green smoothie for breakfast. Add a handful of spinach or kale for the last minute when cooking pasta or rice. Nibble on a dish of carrot batons before dinner. Eat a side salad with every meal.
With extra veg not only do you get all the extra vitamins and nutrients from your veggies it also fill you up so you eat less of the bad stuff.
I’ve linked up with Michelle at Utterly Scrummy for a blog event – Extra Veg – to encourage everyone to a healthier diet.
Extra Veg
To take part, simply blog about any recipe or idea where you eat an extra portion of vegetables.
