Hot Peaches in Butterscotch Sauce

For a simple, elegant and delicious dessert that's easy to make, you can't beat these hot peaches in butterscotch sauce. The perfect end to a summer's evening meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz butter
  • 1 oz soft light brown sugar
  • 1 tbs honey
  • 2 peaches - 2 fruits per person is perfect and this will work for nectarines, bananas and apples too.

Instructions

  • Put the butter, sugar and honey into a saucepan (to save time and washing up just use a wooden spoon to approximately measure the honey). Set on a medium heat and stir from time to time as the ingredients melt into each other.
    1 oz butter, 1 oz soft light brown sugar, 1 tbs honey
  • While the sauce ingredients are warming, cut the fruit into segments, ready to add to the sauce.
    2 peaches
  • When the sauce ingredients have melted, stir well and continue to cook so that it thickens to a bubbling golden sauce.
  • Add the peaches and stir well. Cook for a further minute to heat the peaches through.
  • Serve right away with cream or ice cream.
