March does hold the promise of the spring, but you still get those damp dark, and as my friend Jac would say; dreich days, when if caught without an umbrella, hat and scarf you can become soaked, and chilled to the bone to boot. I rarely drink hot chocolate, but it can be the perfect warming comfort after getting caught in the cold rain, or for après ski. A shot of rum to warm you further is optional, and I will not tell if you indulge!
Aero’s limited edition white bubbly bar is being launched this month, and judging from the Aero Facebook page is very keenly anticipated, so I’ve created an indulgent Aero bubbly white hot chocolate – the perfect late winter warmer. I advise you to grab a few bars when you see them as they are not going to be around for long!
Serve with some fancy popcorn!
Recipe: Aero Bubbly White Hot Chocolate
Ingredients
- 1 mug of milk
- 1 Aero Bubbly White bar
- 1 tsp Mini marshmallows
- Sprinkle of cocoa powder
Instructions
- Break the Aero bar into pieces and place in a saucepan along with the milk. Gently heat, until all the chocolate is melted. Whisk the hot chocolate to create some bubbles and pour into your favourite mug.
- Top with some mini marshmallows and a sprinkle of cocoa powder.
- Curl up in your favourite chair and enjoy.
Are you looking forward to the new white chocolate Aero bar? Do you hope it will become a permanent addition to the range?

White chocolate areo bubbly? Love it! Can’t wait to try it out ;-) Thanks for sharing Helen!
Helen
It was very sweet, but perfect after I had had a long walk in the rain. We think spring is here, then it retreats somewhat.
Bintu @ Recipes From A Pantry
Just what I would love at the moment.
Helen
I made it after having got caught in rather cold rain. it was very comforting.
Glamorous Glutton
OMG! The Glams would be in their element. Your hot chocolate looks divine, perfect for curling up in front of the fire and for those who can’t wait theres still a delicious bar of white bubbles to be had. Thanks GG
Helen
Absolutely. Of course when I schedule a post it published on a lovely sunny day!

I am looking forward to finding these in the shops, I love white chocolate versions of chocolates!
Helen
It find it quite sweet, but actually quite like it. Still sad that cappuccino did not win.
Urvashi
Oh now that I could simply melt into after the day I’ve had. Bliss
Helen
It really is a hug in a mug!
Tina @ The Spicy Pear
I love mint aero and recently tried their orange aero balls and was not impressed. I’m not sure how I will feel about their white chocolate version. That said, I would happily try your hot chocolate with mint aero.
Helen
I far prefer the orange. Taste is so subjective isn’t?
London Unattached
I’m not really keen on white chocolate, though as an aero bar it might work. I think I’d have gone for the cappuccino too
Helen
It is a very comforting unchallenging chocolate Fiona. As much as I love my bean to bar there is also still a niche for comfort chocolate.
Morgan @ Peaches, Please
That’s a really cute idea. White hot chocolate is always tricky to get right, so it’s great to have a recipe like that.
Helen
it was very sweet, but perfect after getting chilled in the early March rain.
Sarah, Maison Cupcake
Nice, I could have done with this when I came home after that gig last week. I like that the coating is still milk chocolate.
Helen
Very warming! I rather like white chocolate.

Love Aero, I usually go for the chocolate orange one but I’ll definitely be looking out for this :-)
Helen
I love the orange one too. But the white is very nice as well.
Vanessa Hubbard
Wow, paid to try out this stuff. Well done you, we’ll be trying this at the weekend.
Janice Pattie (@FarmersgirlCook)
Very fluffy! It’s one of those dreich days today, no sign of spring today just endless rain!
Helen
I love the word dreich. So so descriptive. Although I feel an imposter when I use it.
Jacqueline
Oh nice idea Helen and I must try that aero. The orange is my ultimate favourite.
Helen
Oh! Orange Aero hot chocolate. How lovely!
Janie

Very comforting and warming!
Lou, Eat Your Veg
A very tempting mug of naughtiness indeed! Though at the time of my reading we’re amidst the spring ‘heatwave’, not sure how long it’ll last though!
Helen
This is the danger of scheduled posts. YOu write about cold weather and it is then blazingly hot, or the other way round!
