SlimFast Vitality Shakes

Modern lifestyles don’t make maintaining our weight at a level which we’re happy easy. Long hours spent sitting at a desk, high levels of stress, and frequently not having enough time to cook don’t help matters. For those who feel that they would benefit from losing a few pounds, one of the ways to go about this is to make use of SlimFast products.

SlimFast Vitality shakes come in three flavours: Raspberry Crush, Chocolate Intensity, and Salted Caramel Infusion

The SlimFast Vitality shakes have no added sugar, are high in fibre and have 26g of protein in each helping, to help you feel full and not suffer from hunger pangs. They’re packed with 26 vitamins and minerals as well. At 265 calories a serving they are a reasonable portion for anyone on a weight loss diet.

The shakes are part of the complete SlimFast plan, based around a three-step process. First, choose three snacks: either something like SlimFast noodles, or fruit or vegetables. Then, two meals – normally breakfast and lunch – are replaced by SlimFast Vitality shakes, or other SlimFast bars or meals.

Finally, once a day, you cook and enjoy a sensible 600 kCal (800 kCal for men) meal. The final requirements are to drink enough water, and take some exercise every day.

The plan does remove all requirement to count calories or points, so simplifying the process of losing weight.

The Vitality shakes are available in three different flavours: Raspberry Crush, Chocolate Intensity, and Salted Caramel Infusion. Preparation is simple: three scoops (the measuring scoop is supplied in the packet) to 250ml of skimmed milk.

Mix together – 10 seconds in the blender is perfect it really could not be easier  – and your meal replacement shake is ready.  SlimFast suggest trying adding some extras to the shakes – frozen berries to the raspberry, coffee to the salt caramel or almonds to the chocolate.

We liked the fact that the shakes don’t have any added sugar and are gloriously thick. As well as avoiding a sugar high, followed by a near immediate blood sugar crash, they don’t taste too sweet. We find that re-training our palate away from sweet foods is one of the best things we can do to maintain our desired weight.

By finding a low sugar, slow release carb snack satisfying, we find it easier to control our diet and weight.  SlimFast Vitality is £14.99 for 10 portions.

If you love shakes you may want to try my Smores Smoothie or this Cadbury Shake.

Post sponsored by SlimFast, who also sent us the shakes. All opinions are our own.

Slim Fast seem to be offering more and more items to help people who want to loose some weight, I remember trying the shakes once and not being a fan but that was many years ago, so I think I will have to give the range another go.

I’m not an advocate for meal replacements at all being an intuitive eater however with their vitamin and protein content these would be great for people who normally skip breakfast to have on the go.

The key to keeping weight off is to continue your eaing plan, alongside exercise. We’re all allowed time off though.

I haven’t used Slim Fast in such a long time, and honestly, I suppose I didn’t use them but just try the shakes. Sometimes companies do revamp their formulas and they end up being liked the second time around.

These formulas are certainly tasty, so may be worth trying if you wanted to try the plan.

Ummmm salted caramel infusion? Ok I will try that one please. I’m not trying to lose weight right now but could you use these as a protein shake I wonder?

    Reply
    • Helen

The shakes are designed to give a balanced nutritional meal replacement, they will differ to protein shakes, but could be used in place of a meal.
